What to expect in Minneriya safari ?
In this tour you will be traveling through the Minneriya national park in a 4×4 safari jeep, driven by an experienced safari driver to the core of the jungle. Minneriya national park is the largest Asian elephant gathering in the world . The park surrounds the Minneriya reserviour & Elephants and most of the other animals will be feeding near the reserviour. In the route to the middle of the minneriya national park you will be able to spot various animals like Peacocks, waterbuffalos,deers,foxes , many species of birds & elephants. If u are a bird lover we recommend you the morning tour where you will be able to spot many species of birds. when we reach the reserviour you will be able to spot herds of elephants in their natural habitat.

The Morning Safari
Same as the evening safari except you have a better chance of seeing larger number of elephants in the evening safari. But if you are a bird lover, This is the option as this permits to see a great variety of Bird species.

Time is usually flexible between 1.00pm – 6.00 pm , but below given is the schedule we recommend
2.00 P.M – Pick-Up from your hotel at Habarana, Sigiriya, Dambulla, or Main Entrance of Minneriya National Park or Habarana Junction.
2.30 P.M – Begin your game drive at Minneriya National Park.
2.30 P.M to 6.00 P.M 6.30 P.M – Finishing time of your Safari.
